My work with raku pottery allows me to experiment with color, texture, form and fire. The raku process pushes my creative side to create one-of-a-kind works that exhibit the uniqueness one derives from the smoke and fire that envelopes the works. The stoneware pieces I produce take me back to my roots. Functional or utilitarian pottery gives me great satisfaction in knowing that each day someone, somewhere is using one of my pieces to eat, drink, bake or serve their family or friends. Having someone come up to you and tell you how much they or someone they know cherish your work is the utmost compliment to a craftsman.
